Thread: I need help with my seedbox! Please

I just recently pruchased my first seedbox (torrentswift). I have 2 problems: 1 is that nothing is running either dl-ing or ul-ing faster than my normal home connection. Also HOW DO I SEED FILES I HAD PREVIOUSLY DOWNLOADED THROUGH UTORRENT (only put in caps because that is the main question I need answered). I need to know how to upload existing files and seed them on say bitgamer. Thank You for any help you can give.

You have to upload your files through FTP to your seedbox and make the .torrent look for the file by "Force Re-Check"

Thank You I downloaded an FTP client but when I got transfer a file...its take like 10 hours. Am I supposed to transfer the whole file (lik1 gb) for example or do I make a torrent and add that? Im having trouble here any links with guides would be helpful. (Sorry for sounding like such a noob)

yea uploading by FTP is pretty slow, I just re-downloaded to my box instead of FTP uploading

Oh ok thank you. Yea it seems like that is the best idea to re-download. Thats what I have been doing. What kind of speed should I be getting from a 100/mb/s because it doesnt seem that fast. So I use FTP to remove download files back to my computer right? (BTW I added rep and I do appreciate you helping, after all Im trying to SEED!!!)

Yes FTP to download back to your comp.

with 100 mb/s you max at around 12 megabytes a sec

But it depends on the peers.

Lets say there is 1 leecher and you are the only seeder.

You could upload t 12 mb/s but he may only be able to download at 1 mb/s

Take that into consideration
