Default Looking for a nice eLibrary

I've been looking around at the tracker reviews for a good eLibrary.

I'm generally interested in whichever tracker has the largest selection of non eLearning books (I need one geared more toward entertainment reading, i.e. fiction, scifi, horror, etc) but I don't want to go for an invite until I know which one will suit me.

Currently I have ebookvortex, but that's not really cutting it for me. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have heard that bibliotik is one of the best trackers for ebooks when it comes to genres other than elearning.
There are better alternatives for this, but novels and magazines for example can be found very easily on bibliotik.

So this tracker would be my first suggestion.

Myanonymouse is another great tracker with good speeds and easy to maintain ratio. It has a lot of categories sorted by book-genre.

If you still won't find what you are looking for over there, keep demonoid in mind.
It has a very large variety of ebooks and audiobooks from all genres. Not the fastest tracker afterall, but still very big for niche stuff :D

would you say myanonymouse exceeds bibliotik in content? or just in ease to maintain? Also i forgot about demonoid, i'll have to check out their ebook section.

Contentwise I'd say they are pretty much on a same level. But Myanonymouse has more rare, unique stuff while Bibliotik serves the more general purpose, like fictional novels and bestsellers.

Demonoid is generally awesome when all the other candidates have to pass :)

It is often disregarded as a bad tracker because it is kinda public and so easy to get in. Pre times are non existant aswell, but when it comes to rare stuff it's always worth a look.

You don't need a tracker for it. I go to library.nu for all of my eBook needs. :) Check it out!

Just checked that out, seems pretty nice, but it's missing a few books I really want to read. I may try to get a bibliotik invite if I can find one. Can anyone suggest a good eReader for my pc? I'm planning on getting either an iPad or at least like a nook or something soon, but for now i'll just read via my laptop.

Demonoid had a bunch of ebooks that I couldn't find anywhere else. I use moderated LiveJournal communities for my ebooks the majority of the time because the people who upload tend to buy their ebooks and de-DRM them to share on the community (including me). I've only recently started using library.nu and ebookvortex.

There are a couple of ebook reading programs I use on my Mac (also available for PC):

-Nook, from Barnes & Noble--allows addition of epubs, but not sure about other formats. I'd imagine PDFs would be allowed
-Stanza--opens pretty much every format, such as lit and azw, but poor formatting
-Adobe Digital Editions--PDFs and epubs. I've found that ADE is the most accurate in formatting of epubs, unlike Stanza

Calibre is a beautiful program for organizing your ebook library and converting. It can basically convert from any format. This is what I use when someone uploads a de-DRMed azw or mobi.

My roommate is letting me use his bibliotik account because he doesn't read, so I decided to browse a little bit and, honestly, I've found many more books I've wanted (which is mainly fiction novels) on file sharing communities and by doing a quick Google search. :/
