Thread: Tracker for HD quality tv shows?

I realize these threads have been done to death but none have been done with concern for quality of hd shows.

I am lucky in chdbits there is alot of full quality blu rays, unfortunately many people dont care about quality, and trackers like this are few and far between.

I seen some trackers are great for tv shows, but is there some in particular that have excellent uncompressed 1080i quality tv shows? I like alot of shows on national geographic and discovery, what I dont like is compressed poor hdtv quality squeezed into a small file.

1080p quality rips are mostly released after the season has ended and there's a dvd/bluray out. other than that, there ARE some 1080p releases of certain shows but they intend to be personal rips (NOT BY SCENE GROUPS) that wont go public. bitmetv and btn both have those HQ rips but...noone's really that into national geographic or discovery channel to encode them

for me, 720p is enough. even with a 42" tv i can't really tell the difference between a good 720p and 1080p rip.

hdclub is quite good for tv->bd documentaries

Couple notes here.

I am referring to 1080i as in shows not released on blu-ray, everything I need on blu ray can be found on chdbits.org, or my other non tracker source, probably know what im mentioning if you know about it.

What I am asking is basically for 720, or 1080i broadcast programs that are not on blu ray. Such as those from a satellite company or cable company ripped from a dvr. Here in canada my hd provider kind of sucks, and we dont always get great shows that air in america with regards to discovery, national geographic, history.

My provider does not have history in hd sadly.


I basically dont want encodes, i want the full quality 1080i or 720p broadcast. For those who have spent an arm and a leg on video/audio equipment like myself we do like the best quality we can find and a majority of websites compress an hour long hd show into a small gig file. I also have an 18 tb server while more space can be added. Typically an hour long HD show should run about 8 gb from satellite and cable, unless your provider sucks like mine (I have very few options either) then it will be more like 4gb.

Maybe this simply does not exist like full quality blu ray rips do on websites like chdbits and hdbits.org

I basically was just looking for full quality hd shows 1080i, and 720p. No tv shows are broadcast in 1080p.
