Default Downloads torrents while you sleep?

In the UK the best time to download torrents is during the night!

I was wondering if there was a state that your computer could be in (e.g. Hibernate, standby etc.) where your torrents were still downloaded and saved, but you don't have to have the fans, lights and graphics card fans going all night... Is this possible?

At the moment, I have everything going as if I were using the computer to the max, but all I really need is the internet connection and the hard drives with a bit of processing power. Can anyone help?

    Many thanks!

The best you can do is to enable Intel Speed Step if you are using an Intel based system. Then create a fan profile for quite fans in your bios. This assumes you have fans plugged into the fan headers on your motherboard.

Well you can always unplug your fans :P lol. Jk, bad idea, especially for the CPU

Rivatuner to turn down the fans for the GPU
    The case fans, no idea.
The lights, I am thinking you mean the HD indicator, just put tape over it :P.
If you mean case lights or LED fans, well you could unplug those (the LED fan ones, no idea)

I leave my computer downloading and uploading all night week in and week out, more uploading than downloading of coarse.

It's similar back in .ro, but that's why I learned to ignore the noises; if I can get used to the old trolleybuses banging their doors right outside my flat, I pulled it off with the fans too.

... or maybe you wanted some power saving scheme... hmmm. With that, I fear I cannot help.

I have my rig turned on 24/7 for torrents. Built my rig with this in mind. Changed all case fans to 120mm fans which equates to less heat (since its always on) and less noise (at night). My ISP also boosts speed from 10pm to 10am which is a big plus! Only thing I turn off is my LCD :)

It's easy, just move the computer to another place in your house, or move yourself :D

And yes, I always leave Vuze open on my laptop every night :D

My ISP limits the speeds down to 1/5 between 3-9pm, so i just do all my downloading and seeding at night
