    Default Bluray formats

Whats the difference? From what I see:

BRRips: Xvid with lower quality sound
BDRips: usually xvid straight from source
Bluray: x264/mkv with same sound as source

BRRips are XviDs re-encoded from existing x264 BDRips

You forgot Remuxes. They're basically just the streams from Blu-Ray discs placed into mkv containers.

There is a definite difference between Bluray and BDrip though right? People on my tracker keep trying to tell me they are the same.

Yes. Bluray seems to only be used for x264 encodes.

Blu-ray and BDRip are the same. BD simply stands for the Blu-ray disc.

The format encode doesn't mean anything.
