Why do people hate traders?
I'm just wondering what people hate about traders? I read about how people are "anti-traders". What's the reason for all the hatred?

Because invites should be given freely, that's the whole spirit of torrenting.
Also, if you're trading, all that matters is that the other person has an invite you want. It doesn't matter if that person would be a good user or even if the person is legit (can we say MPAA?)
Another reason why anti-traders put rules in their giveaways such as no traders is because if you trade your invites, you don't give them out to others so why should they give them out to you?
I used a lot of yous but wasn't talking to you directly ;)

Let me just give you the meaning of trade:

exchange or give (something) in exchange for
|
Now let me offer you two scenarios:
1. Someone has an invite, they want to trade it, so someone gives them an invite in return.
2. Someone has an invite, and they want to 'give it away'. All they ask in return is iTrader.
-------
I don't know about you guys, but both of those fit the description perfectly. If someone gives an invite and asks for an iTrader, they are still trading, because there is an exchange.
How I see it, there's a section for it, if people want to trade let them trade, if people want to 'give away' let them give away...

You are wrong. Asking for an itrader in return is nothing like asking for an invite in return. itrader isnt something that is belong to you and you need to give it as an exchange. Invite does.
Giving an itrader is just showing your appriciation and saying "thank you"
to the person who gave you something and didnt ask you to give him back something that you own.
Lets say i have a RevoTT account that i realy love but i also want TL. A Person is offering me TL but he wants the RevoTT that i realy love. So you need to choose.. you give your beloved account for something else you want, or you try and get TL from someone who doesnt want anything from you, but only that you will click on a button and tell him "thank you for giving me TL and letting me have my RevoTT"

The anti traders mainly feel that invites should be free. You shouldn't get something in return for inviting someone. The traders mainly feel that if they don't trade they will never be able to get the invites they want.
Both are right in some ways.

Skitler has a valid point! Itrader should not e demanded or be a requirment for a giveaway! technically it looks like a trade of anyways! As goldcoin said, itrader is a means of showing apriciation for an invite that is given to him or her!

I agree to an extent, except iTrader still has material value on these forums. For that reason, it makes any 'giveaway' a trade. An invite for itrader, it's an exchange. check the definition in google, and you'll see.

I can agree with you that itrader should be demended, but the way this website works, itrader is one of the things that people are looking at before they decide to give an invite. If you offered an invite and two people gave you both the best reason why they should get the invite, but one person has 1 itraders and the other one has 30. Who will you choose?I highly doubt its gonna be the person with the 1 itrader. If thats how you feel, then itraders should be completely removed so they wont affect people's judgment when giving invites

I understand that it's feedback, like on eBay...
Eurgh I can't explain myself...
Because some people don't like trading or giving away invites to people with little or no itrader, it's given that type feedback value. Because of that it is pretty much a trade now. That's how I see it anyway
