Firstable I want you to know I'm not gonna tell you how to fake your upload or download or whatever to improve your ratio , If you want do do it, just Google it, an you'll find more information than here, but it's a fact that exist a lot of different ways to do it.
There are torrent clients modificated, applications to fake your upload or download Kbs and a lot of stuffs that improve your ratio, sometimes too well...

What Am I saying? Yes sometimes you can upload until 1TB in one night, of course you'll be banned, but that's not the point, only a dumb would cheat on a private tracker he want to keep. Let's think about it, if today someone gave you a FTN invite would you cheat there, of course I wouldn't, actually, I've got a good tracker invite, and I'm doing other "tricks" to keep it (download a file from another tracker with a good ratio, and upload in the tracker you want to improve your ratio), but the question is: Isn't this "trick"cheat too? Well, My opinion is: "you establish your limits"!

Torrent means "share what you've got" ;)
Imagine a world where everybody cheats, well in that world nobody would have something to share and anybody would have something to cheat, don't you think so? I think the "ratio" is the best f*ckin idea in the torrent world. In that way everybody is forced... (sorry, not forced, anybody force you)... someone make you to "return what you have taken", I think that's justice, I think that's the RATIO PHILOSOPHY.

Cheat on trackers is selfish, and slows down speed for other users.

Some people said that trackers foment the piracy, that will be cheat.. well once again I tell you: -"you establish your own limits". I'm not gonna tell you to don't cheat, but imagine if everybody were like you, you cheat because there are people that want to share, is because of them you are here cheating, and they give the chance to cheat or not, but the choice is only... YOURS!

I wanna finish these lines giving you some "tricks" that have worked for me, and I've found them here (the best ones I think) to improve your ratio:

1. When you have arrived into a new tracker "DONT DOWNLOAD BIG TRACKS" (more tha 1 GB I mean), download a new movie (700MB), where you find a lot of peers, and seed it as much as posible.

2. Have a good ratio in Music trackers could be a nightmare because most of tracks are small with a lot of seed and nobody leechs. Well, download the files with more peers, and don't delete it when you finish, KEEP SEEDING 5 OR 6 TRACKS all day long and some days after your ratio will reach the sky

3. DON'T HIT AND RUN PLEASE, remember, you downloaded your file because someone didn't run.

4. Find a popular track in trackers where you've got good ratio, and SEED THE SAME TRACK in the place you want to improve your ratio. Actually Tehllamaking explain it better than me, lol. How to keep good ratios on one site because of another site

5. Only Download a big file ONCE YOU HAVE REACHED a good ratio.

These "tips" aren't mine, they are from people that have searched how to share more efficiently, instead search "HOW TO CHEAT".

tbh, the only thing out of all that, that actually made any sense was talking about cross seeding. And there are already several posts with regards to that same thing. Or am i missing the point?

I read the topic and was planning to come in here and flame you for promoting cheating lol... yeah as mentioned above, cross seeding is good to get ratio's up on new sites, but as the OP stated, best way to go about it is wait till a big release comes out and seed that. I don't bother with cross seeding anymore (due to having a seedbox). Would be good if you only had a home internet connection i suppose though.

Packs. They are what you are after when knew to a tracker. Download 5 or 6 movies form a pack and then just let it seed and seed and seed.

Another one i'd recommend is to download an xbox-360(or similar) game from one of your other trackers then cross seed it. You'll also bypass the wait times some trackers have for new users.

Gosh! Really great tip! Download movie packs and games, they are so atractive for everyone. Why didn't I think on that before?

I do not consider this as cheating. I think of it as a good strategy plan on seeding. Cross-seeding a file is not safe. Just copy the file on an other location and seed it to a new site that you are trying to build a ratio.

Nothing cheating about cross seeding. I'm seeding Call.Of.Duty.World.At.War-RELOADED on 5 different trackers at the moment. It will probably get me 200-300 GB across them all.
That's just seeding smart.
