Thread: EBates

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Ebates.com on this forum. It is a click-through site that lets you earn rebates on your online purchases and sends you a rebate check every quarter if you've earned more than $5 cash back. The rebates vary from merchant to merchant i.e. 3% back on TigerDirect, 6% Drugstore.com, and they also will have daily & weekly bonus % back as well as links to coupon codes for certain sites.

I've earned over $275 back in the past two years (yes I buy that much crap online) and found a large number of merchants participate. Amazon.com does not but a lot of other merchants do including some travel websites do. For example I just earned $28 back from an Avis car rental so that's pretty cool.

Good info. I have used Newegg.com several times. Do you know if this site is affiliated with newegg.com? Sorry to hear it does not work with Amazon as I very much want to get some Amazon coupons usuable on international purchases.

I've been using ebates for several years now and have never had any problems with them. They pay promptly & offer better deals than any other site I've come across in terms of flat percentage discounts.

As far as I know, the site is not affiliated with NewEgg.

Also, Amazon coupons do NOT exist! They are one of the few retailers that does not feel the need to give out coupon codes.

I've got back over $900 through eBates (since 2007). It's great because they give back the percentage of BEFORE coupon totals. I would have got back about 10x less if this weren't the case. I haven't used it in a long time though so I don't know if this is still the case.

Some sites similar to ebates: fatwallet and mrrebates.com. I find that ebates has lower or higher % than the other ones depending on what you're buying, so it's worth it to look around.

combine that with slickdeals.net and you're saving a ton of money :D
