Avi Movies that come in 2 of more pieces can easily be joined together using Virtualdubmod. If you are annoyed by having to set the video to direct stream copy every time, See Below
Then go to options --> preferences and set the default to Direct stream copy and then click save, See Below
Now drag and drop the first half into Virtualdubmod and select file --> Append segment, See Below
A window will come up so you can select the second half, See Below
Then you select file -->save as See Below
Pick a destination, Give it a name and bob's your uncle.
Batch Mode Option
An addition to this tutorial I sometimes have dozens of movies to do at a time, And even though each only takes a minute or 2 to join, A minute or 2 can be a really long time if you are waiting for it. Going away to do something else for a minute or 2 is not worth the effort.
So what you do is que them up in much the same way you do with the passes when you are making multi-pass .Avi files with Virtualdubmod.
You do everything the same as above when you are joining them, But when you go to save them, Tick the box that says don't run now
See Below
And it will be added to the que.
Then select file --> Close video file See Below
Repeat until you have que'd all that you want to do, Then select File --> Job Control See Below
And it will bring up a window showing all the jobs waiting to be done See Below
Now click the start button and it will do 1 and then the next, and next etc, etc, etc
