I've never tried it, but a cd is no different than a dvd or game...... From what I read as long as the marking on the back is in tact it will work, because when a player reads the disc the laser bounces off the back of the disc..... I think that's why you can sand the surface of the the other side to make it readable.

very good tutorial, i'm going to try with some cds i have scratch in the car.
I'll try this with some scratched cds, thanks i don't see this on What before.
I tried to rip a few CDs and it came up with CRC errors in them. Then I just washed them with water for a bit then dried it with a towel. Then they were perfect. I could see the scratches but they didn't affect the CD :D
