Default How to setup EAC to rip perfect FLAC music files

ok first you need to download and setup EAC
If you plan on being a memeber at what.cd or waffles, or any good music site you will want to know how to turn your own cd's into a good 100% log FLAC file.

Step 1: Download and install EAC

    http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/en/index.php/resources/download/

    a
fter you install EAC start it up and we want to cancel the the setup wizard.

now put in a good music cd you will see accuraterip like below click configure

now we want to click on EAC top left after EAC is up and running then click on EAC options and set all the tabs just like these screen shots below

Now we want to click on EAC again and choose drive options first detect read features now set the tabs to the same settings as below

Now we want to set up meta data options from the eac tab just like the screen shots below

Now that you have EAC all setup it is time to learn how to rip a perfect flac, please keep in mind a good non scratched up cd is best for getting a 100% perfect rip. be sure to get metadata from freedb and all tracks show song name and artist.

now this is a 3 step process

    1 detect gaps
    2 creat cue sheet
3 test and copy your disc
see the screen shots below for how to do this.

now you should have a perfect rip provided your cd was in good shape. this guide will help you know how to make lossless flac rips that is the purest music rip you can upload to any tracker site.

I hope you found this helpful it is a short and cut how to but works for me every time.
please post any questions or feedback and as always try to help out other TI members as much as possible

note be sure the folder you save your rips and cue sheet to is the same one you will be uploading from as you do not want to edit a log file, for example dont save rips cue and log file to your name then album name folder. you never want to change a log file 1 bit.

Thankz mate! I would also like to pont that after ripping the CD to FLAC if you use a music converter (I use dbpoweramp), converting the music from Flac to m4a (ALAC) you'll have a compressed lossless music that plays at ipod's and likes!!!

the meta data just needs to be loading on the EAC some discs don't have it and most do but it should pick it up right away if accurip is installed and i use the DB free. but glad you got a reply and fix

Thanks so much! This is a great tutorial for ripping with EAC, I've used dbPoweramp in the past for my personal rips but this is great for upload rips that need to be absolutely perfect (and verifiably so)
Edit: Argh I didn't realize this was so old before posting. Sorry!
