Oh this method!
It's very simple, but it usually does a poor job because the tracks are mixed. Therefore some waves are not cancelled out.

If you wanted a clean instrumental you would have to do more filtering.

great tutorial :) I'll have to try it sometime on some tracks I want the instrumentals for!
