Members, please keep in mind that the news section is meant to reflect current BT news stories.... like the Pirate Bay Trial, changes in bittorrent protocol, or the MPAA and RIAA's latest attempt to push censorship on BT websites. These are the kinds of news stories we are looking to publish.



I am seeing a lot of bittorrent "news" stories that are nothing more than an announcement that a tracker is opening. Since we have the OpenTrackers forum, this is completely unnecessary

I also discourage posting tracker announcements as news. Anyone who is a member of those trackers can see their announcements and anyone who is not a member doesn't really care what minor changes are happening in their tracker. Of course there are always exceptions to this rule so if you think an announcement bears publishing, please go ahead and post it. If it's not news worthy, the worst that will happen is it gets moved.
