Do people seriously use the same passwords AND email address on sites like this and high level trackers?

If the answer to that is yes then it is simply operator error and they only have themselves to blame (if it really happened anyway).

Whether or not it did happen, everyone can learn a valuable lesson here, use different passwords for different sites and preferably use different email addresses too for high risk sites. If you have trouble remembering your different passwords use a password manager and make backups of them in case of a sytem failure, RoboForm is my reccomendation.

It really isn't rocket science, we are all clever enough to run security apps / network monitors / anti p2p monitor software / secure wireless / encode movies / etc etc etc yet some people can't keep their passwords safe?

Be proactive and take responsibilty for your own security.

I haven't been following this as it had been unfold. But WHY THE FUCK would Dave even ever steal a ScT and a Seedbox. When he is already giving them away!!!
He can get seedboxes as much as he wants since a lot of resellers are more than willing to give him one in trade of some advertisement! Have you even looked at how many ScT invites have been given away here? O_o

I surely don't believe is perfect here... But at least in this case I am pretty sure he didn't do anything wrong. O_o

Yes that is exactly what happened.

Agreed 100% on everything you said. It's not hard to be wise and keep your accounts safe.

If that is what has happened it is pretty stupid... For myself I am still trying to figure it out.
But same account names/passwords are stupid... I have a different mail at my trackers, and a different account name and password on every single one of them...
And all random 11character random password. Would take you hunderds of years to brute force them with current computers.

    Dave didn't do it. Period.

This site rocks, and I'm glad it's back! Thanks, Dave!
