well, first i would like to say that i like that you organized the forum a bit more and that there are no longer so many sections, but there are main sections with subsections in them. great idea on that guys.

1) Combine the Help and Suggestion forums into a single section

i don't think that you should mess with these two sections, but i would leave it the way it is. suggestions and help are very different in my opinion. i see suggestions as members saying what they would like to see on here and etc etc etc.... and i see help section as being a must by it self because there are many people who need help with many different issues and putting suggestions with it would just confuse people even more.

one option that comes to my mind is "suggestions and help" section in which there are two separate sub forums for each one of these. just an idea guys. :001_smile:

2) Combine the giveaway forums (Area 51, Low, Mid, Trusted, etc) into a single section called "Invites & Giveaways"

this sounds good for the new members like me, but i would have to go against it. few reasons are organization, and generalization of trackers. when the new members like me join we see the low level giveaway threads and we only request in those and if there is one big section everyone from new to best members would be requesting everything (low to high level giveaways) and that would lead to unnecessary posts that could be avoided. also the organization wouldn't be as good in my opinion because one section would be filled with tons and tons of threads and they would get bumped to the second page super fast because many members here are great and give invites on daily basis. and when the threads get bumped from those older pages that would lead to some more confusion in my opinion.

i think the way the threads are organized now is just fine because no section is super active and people have the chance to receive/give for which they qualify and in the correct section. for me it is great the way it is even though i only have the access to two sections (low and mid level), but i am not complaining. i will be patient. :001_tongue:

3) Move Tutorials back to the forum home



this could go either way and you can't go wrong with it. on one side there are many new users who join and who could use these tutorials and if they don't see them immediately they may make some mistakes instead of taking a look at those on the front page. and if you leave them in a sub forum there won't be too much clutter and everyone will be happy and able to find those if they take a look around the forum when they join. and there is already this description: "BitTorrent discussions, reviews and tutorials here!" so no one should have any problems finding this section.

4) Allow iGivers for Avatar & Signature giveaways

i would have to agree with this because people who make signatures and avatars take a lot of their time to give beck to this community and i think that they should be rewarded as equally as people who give away invites/bonuses/seedboxes. i know that in fact making those can sometimes be tough job and it can be very time consuming. those guys are heros in my eyes and do deserve some type of recognition.

Don't see a problem with this, I assume they would still be under their own sticky's so to speak but under the one "banner".

I quite like this idea, how about sorting the GA section into genre type i.e - 0 day G/A's, Movie/TV G/A's and then using a template, allow members to set their own requirements, (which most of us do anyway), if a member then applied that wasn't eligible for that GA they could receive a warning. I think it would help promote the Exalted/VIP GA section aswell.

I agree with what Majid has said regarding this.

4) Allow iGivers for Avatar & Signature giveaways
Don't really agree with this, as has been said before, someone can produce loads of signature etc and boost their igiver status, but may not have given any invites away. However I appreciate that people that design avatars etc do put a lot of time and effort into their creations.

Slight Tangent Warning - Perhaps we could come up with some kind of achievements type table - similar to what they have at BCG, that way people would see at a glance if a person is in the 100 igiver club, has hit the 100 rep mark.

Sounds good. Maybe have all suggestions have [SUGGESTION] before the thread title?

I'd say combine Low and Mid. Keep Trusted however. It makes sure that the user has been with TI long, and that the users giving invites there can trust them a bit more.

Please do. Tutorials rock! Some of them were even useful to me!

I would say no. iGiver is for record keeping purposes of when someone gives an invite. Keep it the way it is.

I'd like to support the iGiver for GFX idea. It takes some time and it's frustrating when dealing with someone who doesn't know what they want or if the work isn't quite right. They deserve all they can get, I say.

It will be better if you can change the order of Exalted with VIP`s. The common folks don`t see no difference, but VIP`s see an empty space between "Request Invites" and "VIP`s Only" Threads.

Edit: And I do believe that Tutorials should be on the main page of the Forum as it was before. Where it is now, it takes a while to be found and that`s not nice as tutorials are more for the newcomers..

I dont mind seeing these sections being combined but I would also think it would make sense to
include tutorials in this section here because tutorials go hand in hand with helping because every
tutorial usually helps at least one person on the site. Also before they submit a Help question they
can do either a search or look in the tutorials to see if there answer can be found

This section I like because it makes the site look a little more clean and it makes more sense to have
everything that is being given away in the same area more efficient in my opinion.

This idea I am not too thrilled about. Yes I know that people should get recognition for their efforts
with sigs and Avatars but I dont think this fits well with the whole IGiver system because Igivers are
for seedboxes and invites. I think reputation is more appropriate in this matter than an IGIVER. You
give an avatar you get reputation points for your hard work

I totally agree with this idea.. It'll be nice to see the Tutorials on the first page...

I don't think this should be implemented... We're a tracker invite forum so we should remain like that. My opinion is that, if possible, staff could do a different "iGiver" for this kind of Giveaway's like TangoSeeder as said...

Perhaps we could have a separate "igiver type" system for graphics. eg "Artist score" or something similar

No, I think these are totally opposite ideas and should have separate areas
Although having the tutorials or a link in the help section would be good

Not sure what this entails, before my time, sure as long as my index to the tutorials goes with it. Viewing the index categories often will give you more ideas and a lot more hits than using the search feature.

No, igivers should be a reflection of how you operate as a torrenter

Nice one, this is a change I have been wanting for a long time :D not quite all the way but a good start.
