Thread: Introduction Section (55% and Higher)

Hey you guys I just wanted to bring something up for all of those who have been helping in the introduction section. First of all I want to express my gratitude to all those helping out I really do appreciate it.

Next thing is if anyone who is 55% or higher please if you do rep someone in can you please send any intro mod a pm with the link to that introduction so that we can close the introduction and move it to the accepted section.

This next thing is in regards to the 0 reply of introductions. Please there are way too many introductions out there that are getting overlooked and are ending up on the 3rd or even 4th pages because no one looks at them. Some of these introductions I understand are crappy but please please do not over look them give everybody and equal chance to try to be let into our site. That is one of the reasons why this introduction section got redone and the application got redone as well as the rules so we can try and be just a little easier in the introduction process so we can see a lot more new faces but if we keep overlooking those 0 reply introductions then it just backs us up.

Also there are many introductions getting lost in the mixed of everything as well, they get replied to and then they reply back and that is it. My suggestion to try and avoid this just a little is when you start on your introductions for the day take a look back a couple of pages and see if anyone is waiting on replies that has already been replied to. I mean I am not asking that you guys go back 10 pages or even 5 pages I just asking to see if we can go back a couple of pages and see if anyone is still waiting on answers. Great points, hummingbird. Also one more suggestion for intro workers--if you do not do so already, subscribe to intros that you are handling (you can select the drop down subscription option when you post your initial reply so it becomes a habit). It really helps me keep on top of responses, especially if the midget takes a day or two to post a reply. It also helps to make sure that intros do not fall through the cracks and keeps an orderly process. Give it a try if you don't do so already.

Thanks Hummingbird and Rellik, that is very good advice, and honestly I do try and do that also, I normally start about 4 pages back or until I stop seeing 0 replies, I know how frustrating it can be to make people wait for days before anyone looks at the Intro, I normally won't touch an intro if a mod or someone else has started the process unless 2 or more days have past and that person has not gotten back to finish the intro.

Zoee in all honesty if you ever see an introduction that I have started and you want to add to it feel free to jump on it I really dont mind at all. I sometimes jump on other peoples because I feel they missed something. I would want anyone to let me know if I have missed something.

another way I've seen a lot of midgets get missed is if they bump their thread, it seems we all asume someone is working on their thread because they'e +1 posts, would be nice if there was a way to tag the intros being worked on as apposed to opening every intro to see if anyone is working on it. I found 3 today

what i would suggest to the guys who have just started in intros,dont berden yourself with too many to start off with,i know you all want to help and it is brilliant that we have so many people working hard in there but if you start doing 20+ intros at a time when you first start to work in there and this could be a reason why some are getting missed,all im trying to say is limit yourself to what you can do so you dont get overhauld then as you get more and more experianced then start to do a few more.If there are lost of 0s i will always try to catch up with them when i get chance.

Also as rellik said you can subscribe to your intros then you can always see if you have a reply.If any of you guys need any help at all no matter how big or small the problem is please don not hesitate to PM me or any of the other intro mods we are here to help.

Finally id just like to say a BIG thankyou to all who work in intros this section is probebly the most important section of our site and it is great to see so many excellant members takeing time out to help with this process,trust me,your work does not go unmissed.Keep up the good work guys and as hummingbird says lets try and keep ontop of these 0s thanks again guys BK Away!!!!!!!

I just want to give props to Forze, he was on the ball quickly within 1 hour of creating an intro i was repped in by him.
