    Default Posting Errors

Recently, several members have reported an inability to post or send PM's on site. This appears to be some sort of compatibility problem between T-I and the Firefox browser. For now, we recommend using an alternate browser (Internet Explorer, Chromium, and Safari all have proven to work well) until the staff can sort the issue out. We will update you when we know more.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

I wouldn't say Chrome is completely compatible. Everytime I click the edit button, all of my T-I tabs crash. The only way I can edit my posts is by right-clicking the edit button->open in new tab. This brings up advanced edit mode, but its the only way I can edit my posts.

edit: whoops! nevermind. It seems you guys fixed this bug, and I just discovered this. It seems I got so used to opening the edit button in a new tab, i forgot to try just clicking the edit button once in a while to see whether or not it was fixed.

Glad you're not experiencing troubles forbidden, but several are. Those members should try an alternate browser until this can be fixed. :)

Let's try to narrow this down a little bit.

    1) How many people are experiencing problems?
    2) Have you tried multiple browsers? If yes, which ones?
    3) Is the problem random or does it happen every time?
    4) How exactly is it triggered? PMs, Post Quick Reply, Edit, etc
    5) What version of Firefox, IE or Chrome are you using?
    6) What plugins/add-ons do you have installed?
    7) What T-I Style are you using? Torrent-Invites v2 (Regular, Experimental, Backgroundless), Blackstream, Torrent-Invites White, or Torrent-Invites v1
    8) How long ago did the problems start?
    9) Did you try clearing your Cookies, History and Cache?
    10) Is there an error message, blank screen, or does it time out?

I'm using IE8 and I was not able to post since yesterday night on a thread at the Offtopic » Entertainment » Sports, but here I guess I can, very strange.

Well, I tried over there again with no sucess, it simply won't advance after I click submit. I did it using the new reply and quick reply options and nothing.
After a while it says done in the browser, but it's still on the same page or that IE can't display that page.

I just posted in another thread (about the NHL playoffs) at the same forum and no problem, but that one (NBA playoffs) won't let me.

Blackrain - How long were you unable to post for? Was it just that 1 thread? Which thread (please post a link)? Did you try using a different browser like Firefox?

We switched servers yesterday and it's not uncommon to have issues with cookies or cached pages after a server move. Has everyone that experienced a problem tried clearing their internet cache, history & cookies in the last 24 hours?

It happened to me too few days ago. I was trying to post a long message(http://www.torrent-invites.com/annou...tml#post558097), but after several attempts using firefox I gave up. When I tried posting it with Chrome it went trough after 2 attempts.

I never had any problems sending PM's and right now I am posting this from firefox(hopefully it will go trough). The following post was made using firefox with no troubles:http://www.torrent-invites.com/annou...tml#post558920 ...so I think it might be random because the post was long too. I also experienced short downtimes and site being slow in the past few weeks.

Edit: It seems that now everything is working. This problems were experienced prior to server change.
