If I'm not mistaken, the number of troops you have influences how much gold you generate from "generating income" so more troops = more work force = more gold. More gold per turn would just make generating income useless.

If that wasn't in place, new players would just get attacked as soon as they joined. 1000 gold and no troops to defend. I was also thinking of a way to change intel, if possible. Since no one really uses it... Maybe if it showed armor/weapons available; or even expose a weakness in your enemies defense so if you decide to attack right after spying you gain an advantage in attack. Maybe allowing an "attempt to sneak in and steal gold" option, with a chance to get away with some gold without fighting.

It would be good if friendly villages could transfer troops or resources or share something, or else it's rather lame to be in the same nation.

Hmm... enjoying it kinda less right now, however, this means my enjoyment shall be that much greater when I visit your village in the night and dance the Dance of One Thousand Thrashings upon you and your ilk. Like a pack of Nasty Nocturnal Ninjas, my troops will demolish your most coveted hovels.
