If you keep the trade section then take out the chopping block and leave traders to deal with whatever happens to them, scam or not. They decided to trade their invites so they should take full responsibility of what happens.

Well,I guess it's harmless to keep such section as long as we control the whole thing...I also recommened in one of my earlier posts that we have to force a rule of handling a Middleman (ocassionally one of the staff members) to be part of every deal just to make sure people aren't messing with each other....this would add a special taste of honesty & security on each trade taking place in TI....

I think it would be too much hassle to have a middleman for every trade, Ill suggest to keep it since its ok like it is atm, just report the scammers....the only thing that must be change is that you MUST have at least 1 or 2 itrades to start getting invites on the GA or to trade accounts, first must give out a couple of invites so the user can start getting in invites too....thats my 2 cents :D

Well, I think we should probably keep it open, I'm a firm believer in "live and let live". I personally don't even visit the section, and if I do it's by mistake. But if people want to trade, let them at it. I do think there should be a middleman on all trades and probably let the mods do it. The traders should also be somehow marked for the rest of the community who doesn't trade. After all, these people could have given their invites and accounts away but instead they traded. I'd be more inclined to give an invite to someone who isn't a trader. After all, they're trying to get something for their invites or accounts and then trying to get the GA invites as well. Seems kind of greedy to me.

@FRKSTI That sounds good making people give before they get an invite. But what about someone like me who didn't have an account on a tracker that gave away invites. I'd be screwed and never be able to get an invite to a new tracker. Maybe we should have a very low level tracker section with invites to trackers like funfile and just a thread for open trackers. So there would be more levels than just the few we have now. That would make it more difficult for the scammers out there who cheat and then take off. Then we could make it mandatory to give away invites and accounts before moving up to the next level.

I dunno, just thinking off the top of my head.

Yes from me. Some trackers are worth more than others, in which case a trade seems to be the most logical way to satisfy both parties.

I think you can leave the trade section but you have to organize it very carefully and there has to be ALWAYS a middleman that can make things go the right way.

For me the most important thing to do is to divide it by Tracker Levels. You have to make a sticky post with the Trackers that do NOT have invites so the new users coming there dont get scammed by someone offering invites that do not exist. You have deny the access to trading for high level trackers so the users can trade only low level trackers at the beginning and after a successful trade the users can be promoted from the staff to a higher level section.

There is also another thing to consider to not leave out the users that want to trade high level trackers. You can create a policy for the users that have high level trackers to trade and they want to go directly to the high level section. For example you can request to that user to give proofs to the staff to verify that he is a member of the high level trackers. the proofs has to be images that are made the same date when the user contacts the staff and those images has to be uploaded as an attachment and not linked some where (or linked if there isnt a problem). thats what i remember for now.

If you are not willing to do this things for me its better to remove the trading section because if you dont do this you will have more than 10.000 users willing to trade a demonoid for FTN + SCT + TL + RevTT , flooding the forum.
