Thread: Hey guys, we are being leniant!

Hi guys currently there is a newsletter going out via email.

Noteworthy to you, it includes a sentence which encourages the re-introduction of any failed midgets. As there are so many I am certain thousands would want to come and re-introduce themselves. So please do not shut them down for having a duplicate intro, although do take it into consideration when making a decision.



If they have shown themselves worthy of a reputation point this time round I want no prejudice.

Thanks for informing us Dave, and a great idea indeed. Looking forward to this event and hopefully it brings many more wonderful and generous members to T-I. I hardly use the introduction section to be honest, maybe because im scared of deciding whether to positive or negative rep someone or making a wrong decision, but hopefully i will be there in the next couple of days to help out.

I agree with Majid, you can count on me too!

Already read that email, so many good things have been done in 2009, I hope this gets better, T-I has a lot of potential, has a good design, excellent community and gives a lot of invites!
(And maybe someday we can open a T-I tracker, that would be epic )

I am assuming that we should not give midgets a second chance if they have been previously banned, caught ratio cheating, and or caught lying? Can a mod clarify this please?

I haven't received the email. Can you tell us the name/addy of the sender so we can search our junk folders? Please pm if you don't want to post it publically.

Hopefully it was mentioned in the email that they have to thoroughly read all rules before they reapply again.

There is no rule that states you should give negative rep for a dupe intro. In fact you should NOT do this unless they have made multiple dupes. Negative rep is meant to be given very sparingly. Remember, sometimes people make dupe intros, not out of any malicious or conniving intent, but out of sheer ignorance and misunderstanding. These are the ones that deserve a second chance. In the case you find a dupe intro, send me (or any staff member) a PM informing them of the situation.

Of course we won't. We just mean those that got overlooked the first time or made a dupe intro, or were treated too harshly. Trust your judgment and only rep in those who will make good members of T-I.
