Thread: Rule Change in the Intro Section

Members, please be advised that the rule for working in the introduction section has changed. In order to assist in the Introduction Section you must have reached the ranks of 55%, NOT 33%.

The reason for the rule change is that we want members to spend time learning the rules of the site and the practices of the community before schooling others on proper T-I behavior. This rule goes into effect as of the time of this announcement and affects all current members. Again, you may not work in intros unless you have reached 55%, even if you have done so previously.

Please note that this rule also applies to donators and VIP members.

You will know if you have reached the ranks of 55% if you have completed the following:
100 posts
20 reputation
30 days on site

I was waiting for this.. that`s my main reason why I stayed out of Intro`s.. All the tiny little fellows were into it..

We can not blame those tiny little fellows 'cause some of them are really trying hard to be helpful to the community by helping the intros and I really appreciate that. With the right guidance, they become a good intro workers.

That's right, they absolutely can. However, they need more than a week on the site before they are ready to decide who will make a good member of the site. This will also help to prevent scammers from repping in their own duplicate accounts.

Honestly Im 55% and I still think I still have a lot to learn, I think this is for the best. Hope my few comments on the intro section are not what bring this up ; )

You said this includes VIP... How can a VIP member tell if they are at 55% or better? I always thought VIP didnt follow the % values...

In most cases this is true; however, I believe the Trusted Giveaways require 100 posts for access. To reach 55%, you must have 100 posts + 20 Reputation + 30 days on the site.

Although I know this will be a disappointment to many, I applaud our Administrators and Moderators for making this decision. This will probably reduce the number of kind souls who work the intros for us, but I believe it will ultimately lead to a better, more knowledgeable intros team.

VIP does excuse members from the % system, but thanks to Jenna you have to be at 55%+, VIP or not.
Before we had members that had only joined T-I for a couple days posting stupid comments and repping in rule breakers because they were VIP. But now you will have to be a member for at least 30 days. In which time hopefully, any intro helper would have picked up enough of the rules and how T-I runs in order to help out correctly.

all the same, gives me time to learn more about it before i get back to the intros.....
