As of late, the chopping block is getting out of control with people posting "possible" spammers or cheaters and members who were repped in improperly. Especially regarding spam, if you do not have proof positive, do not post it. PM a mod first and ask if your case is something that should be put on the block.
Please keep in mind that enthusiastic or over-zealous posting is not necessarily spam. Just because a person posts in ten threads in as many minutes does NOT mean he is a spammer. If the posts are meaningful and thoughtful, then its not spam. Also, merely taking a screenshot of the forum, showing "Member X's" post history, is not proof of spam. If you want to put someone on the block for spamming, then at least check out his posts first. Be certain they are not quality posts first!
Also, members who are repped in improperly (exposed proofs, same name on tracker etc.,) is NOT a case for the chopping block. This information should be sent via PM to a mod on the forum, not posted on the block. It creates a lot more work for the moderating team when you put it on the block. Don't do it. Please read the rules of the section to understand what is chopping block material and what is not.
Let it be clear that I am not calling out the members who are doing an excellent job of uncovering the scammers and keeping our community clean. These members know who they are (Jekata, Vegas, and Sawknee come to mind) and their work is more than appreciated. However, if you do not have proof positive then you must PM a mod first. Clogging the block with useless posts is beginning to get tiresome.
And finally, it seems that some of you are merely hoping to gain a little rep by selling someone else out or tattle-taleing. This is not what the block is about. The chopping block is meant to expose the bad in our community. It is not there to build your number of green squares. And more than this, PMing the staff and asking to be repped for a block post is NOT okay. Anyone who does this will either receive an infraction or a ban.
Please keep these guidelines in mind when posting your case on the block.
Thank you
