Competition Section/Thread Deletion

It seems that some of you are not familiar with the rules in the competition section. Please be advised that it is not okay to make competition threads that exist solely to raise post count such as "the 95th person to post wins." This encourages spam, raises post counts unfairly, and will not be tolerated. All spam threads will be deleted and the owner dealt with accordingly.

Also, please note that asking for rep or iGiver as a prerequisite of participating in a competition is not okay. Finally, if you open a competition or lottery-style giveaway you MUST be prepared to give the invite to the winner. Please familiarize yourself with the rules of the section before posting. It will save us all a bit of time and hassle.

Also...

It seems that some of you would rather delete your thread than ask for it to be renamed. This clogs up the database and looks untidy. (Yes, moderators can see deleted threads.) You must have a valid reason to delete your thread and desiring a new thread title is not one. If you need your thread renamed please either PM a mod on the forum, or come to the IRC. One of us is generally always around.
