Thread: The Chopping Block

Recently, several users have had their personal information (emails, tracker nicknames, IP addresses) exposed on the chopping block. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! Regardless of whether you think the proof is irrefutable it is not okay to place identifying information on the block. Innocent users have faced global bans due to such practices and T-I will not tolerate that. Please PM a mod with the private information and keep it off the block. From this point forward, exposing another members identifying information will result in an instant and permanent ban.

However the chopping block should still be shifted from public view just in case a user does post personal info after this rule.

Understood, but if I'm sure about cheater I say his personal info must be exposed. What do you think?

I am glad this was said, Jenna. It's gotten out of hand. Putting an innocent someone on The Chopping Block is one thing but putting their information up is just damaging. You can't help it 100% if you're unsure about someone, but don't prosecute them if you aren't 100% sure. If it does turn out that this person is a cheater, etc. then they should face the consequences.

Whorucker, read the bit of Jenna's post that I have Quoted, It says that even if you are absolutely convinced of the persons guilt, you MUST NOT post identifying information. The mods have spoken, we must comply.

Yeah I'm really tired of all the personal information leaking out accidentally and especially when the accused is actually innocent. We're not Salem here, we're a community.

And Whorucker, I don't think it matters if you're 1% or 1000% certain, it's still innocent until proven guilty. You have to give the person a chance to say something...
