It probably loads quicker because the black theme has a background image of a black gradient where the white theme is just the website putting it into white instead of having a white gradient image or something like this
the white is to white for me as well... not sure if making it off white would fix either... might also be the bright blue...

Its not too white for me. It might be having vista or dark themes on your computers too. Looking at a dark desktop dark toolbar all that. I use a light theme and used to looking at white in linux my terminal is white. When I switch from my Windows to Linux its like "whoa!" and hard to look at.
Other than the white font color I haven't had any bugs. I like this white but I think I'll stick with the original. Is there anywhere to suggest colors for new themes or do we live with what you guys come up with?
I see the light. It burns. Seriously, my eyes just fell out :P.
Sucks. I like the Blacksteam a lot though and I'd suggest it to low-contrast victims. Personally I'll stick to the default black.
It's freakin' perfect. If it's too bright for your eyes, try turning down the brightness to the screen. It lowered the power draw on my laptop by more than 10%.
Working my way toward 50 posts ONE RANT AT A TIME. I ought to get to 33% by 2011. If you take what I write seriously, Dude you got no sense of humor!
There was a lot of loud pounding on the front door and someone yelling, "ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, AND FIREARMS!"
Hell, I thought it was a delivery.
