Thread: Trading on other sites

As you all may be aware trading was forbidden on Torrent-Invites on 29 of march

We are a No-Trade community,we give invites and we help each other out.



Therefore as a reminder there is NO trading here and also important: You are not allowed to be an active trader on another site. Everyone caught trading on another site after this announcement was made (26 may) will be permanently banned from Torrent-Invites

should b stickied , becuz theere is possibility that this thread moves down after few days & then new members might think that it is ok to trade any where else ... so in order to keep every one updated i suggest to stick these two threads

Giving invites is always the better option.

not cynically speaking, but expect many people to change their user names the next couple of days.

So I clearly understand the policy. I am in agreement with the policy although I am uninformed on the finer points of it. I think we should make the argument with healthy discourse as to why trading is completely unacceptable (here or elsewhere). On the surface it would sound like trading invites just increases freedom of information, but I think that this isn't really the outcome. Tell me why you think its bad (and please don't refrain from any possible positives). And not just 'because we don't do it in this community'.

Why I think trading is not desirable:
It takes control out of the tracker.
It can be used unscrupolously.
Its better to give freely than to give with expectations.

Seems like you are uninformed about existence of search function as well.

So let me inform you. Like on every other forum T-I has search function and it can be used to find older threads where this matter had already been discussed, after all there was a pool and users themselves decided to ban trading.

I prefer giving Invites>which is always best.
