Thread: New User Rank Requirements

In an effort to improve Torrent-Invites we have decided to completely update the requirements of each user rank.
Please note that these changes affect every user, however no one will be demoted if they don't meet the requirements of the rank they are in. Users in that situation will keep their status, but need to fulfill the new requirements if they want to be promoted to the next rank.


Here is the list of the updated requirements:

= this is where users are before their introductions are accepted
= this is where users are after their introductions are accepted
= 50 posts + 25 reputation + 30 days
= 150 posts + 75 reputation + 45 days
= 250 posts + 125 reputation + 60 days
= 500 posts + 250 reputation + 90 days
= 1000 posts + 500 reputation + 180 days

Please note the time count starts the day you registered. It may take as long as 1 hour to upgrade accounts so be patient and please don't spend your day refreshing TI and waiting for an upgrade. =P

This shouldn't be an issue for our users, after-all, each and every member here has what it takes to make it to the top. Anyone who knows our rules and likes to help out is more than qualified. Get to it folks and reach for the top!

Insidious9, something like doesn't really "need" to be discussed amongst the community. An executive decision like this is discussed at the senior staff level. So yes, you will need more posts and rep to reach 33% - why? I'll tell you why. This ensures that 33%, 55% etc... members haven't simply "spammed to the top" and that they are fit to receive invites traditionally handed out to users who have reached that level of excellence in the community. Great idea mate it clearly defines the promo requirements which were a bit sketchy after 55%

Rep is not freely awared, it is earned Pissyfits. Asking for it only makes it hard to achieve and will get you a good slap on the wrists or worse. As for the forums not being active... I have to disagree, the forums and IRC are INCREDIBLY active, start some threads my friend, we have a TON of people who love to discuss a variety of things :)
