Thread: A couple rule changes

Hi everyone!



1. All threads may now be bumped every 24 hours, site wide. Our no bumping hack will auto-merge any bumps made prior to 24 hours so there is no need to report these threads.

2. From this point forward, no user class below VIP may have signatures. However, we are pleased to announce that we've decided to enlarge the maximum size avatar for regular members. You may now have avatars that are a maximum size of 100 x 150. This change may take a bit of time, so please give me time to update the settings before you flood staff's inboxes with questions about why your avatar isn't uploading.

If you are VIP or Exalted, the new avatar and signature restrictions will not affect you. You may continue to host avatars that are 250 x 150 and signature images of 500 x 150. Please use the vbulletin uploader to add since [img] tags have been disabled in signatures.

Awesome work, never used an image in my signature, but the bigger avatar is much welcomed. Not sure about the bumping thing though, I think 48 hours was quite okay, on the other hand if you got limited time offers you would wish to bump them more often. Anyway thanks for the rule changes, much appreciated.

lol I just created my new signature 2 days ago oh well, but I believe The 24 hour rule is not gonna work out too well,there are some members that keep multiple threads going in area 51 in each section and this gives them the chance to drown out other threads with their posts too often, I think 48 hours was fair enough.

anywhos, here's a thought...disable post count in the giveaways section. if you think about it, some guys have over 10 single tracker GAs and bumping them would just be a meaningless way to increase posting count. ok, it doesn't really matter

also, could you explain the "outside images are not allowed" thing? i thought imagebam and imageshack were acceptable?!

We're not gonna disable post count in the forums that keep T-I alive. Sorry, Imagine.

Also these rules aren't really up for debate. Please keep this thread on topic -- ask questions if you like, and feel free to comment, but the rules are in place. :P

Just curious, but why the changes? What is the benefit of no images vs. images in the signature? Basically, what was the reasoning?

hi JJ, thanks for your announcement :) I don't bump any of my give away's is that alright ? as i just have link's in my sig!
and second question is I use torrent invites image dump to show guys something on irc is that also acceptable?
anyway great announcement and i am sure the non V.I.P and Exalted will welcome this announcement with new size
