- 1 fresh speed test (speedtest.net)
Also, these are prerequisites for you to even apply for the give away. (Some are dictated by tracker policy, or torrent etiquette... others are my own specifications).
- You MUST not be from a banned country. (Check the list!)
- You MUST not have had, or currently have, an account with TL.
- You MUST be apart of at least one other private tracker. (if you're not, try my IPT Giveaway instead)
- You MUST have a decent internet connection speed or seedbox. (your upload bandwidth should be at least 2-3mb, or 250-375 kb/s---this is only a reference, however. speed qualification is decided on case by case basis).
Make sure you check out a Torrent Leech review and familiarize yourself with their overall ratio and individual torrent ratio rules (especially for new users regarding wait times)! They're a little hard to understand at first, but familiarizing yourself with their rules before downloading is something that will benefit you 3 fold during your trial period there.
Now, while TL may seem like a hard tracker to seed to, especially if you're new to private torrent trackers, its actually not too difficult after you've established a proper ratio and buffer. Without a doubt, this is one of my favorite general trackers, but it is a bit difficult for new users to build up their ratio due to the wait times on new torrents. TL also doesn't offer any help in the way of a bonus system. In fact, the only thing that will save your ass, should you get into trouble, is a donation---it exempts you from having your account disabled and eliminates any wait times on new torrents (3 months is 25 euros, 6 is 45euros, and 1 year will set you back 80euros). I recommend cross-seeding EVERYTHING until you've uploaded over 25gb, have 1.05 ratio or better and become a power user.
For me, the best things about TL are that they have a lot of proper scene releases, a large community, and pretty quick pre-times... right up there with SCC, perhaps only trailing by minutes, or seconds at times. Anyway, please only apply if you have a NEED for it and think you can hang with their ratio requirements, otherwise you waste my invites and possibly put my account in jeopardy!
